The striker travelled from Ghana during the week for a holiday which included stopping off at Bestepe to discuss his time at Ankaragucu. Augustine played 103 times scoring 44 goals and helped the club to European football before moving to Trabzonspor.
Augustine spoke to General Manager Hikmet Hancioglu saying," I am very sad regarding the current situation at Ankaragucu, this club has strong community and i always keep up with the latest news. I checked the Ankaragucu team and they are very young. I want to help Ankaragucu if I can"
One way in which Augustine has offered his help, is by bringing young players from Ghana to the club. The club has had success in the past from Ghana, with the likes of Augustine, Stephen Baidoo and Ohene Kennedey. " I would like to bring young players from Ghana to Ankaragucu for free "
Before leaving his interview Augustine posed for a picture with the current Ankaragucu home strip. (pictured above)
