In what can only be described as the most important day in the history of Ankaragucu, it looks like some good news for the club and its fans today. The clubs congress was held this afternoon where Bent Ahlat won the majority votes and will now become the clubs new president.

The fans have wanted fan membership and today is the day that it has finally arrived.
There are still some big challenges ahead, but today has been a good day for the club and we will wait to see if Bent Ahlat can deliver his promises.

Tomorrow is the biggest day in the 103 year history of Ankaragucu. The man who is responsible for the mess the club is in at the moment is Cemal Aydin. Him and his friends who have stolen money from the club, filled their pockets while the club run up huge debts.
Melih and Ahmet Gokcek helped add to the debt, but Cemal Aydin and his men are the main culprits. Remove yourself and your friends from this club Mr Aydin and don't ever come back. You are not welcome, leave the club now !!

Ankaragucu returned to action tonight as they drew 0-0 in Nevsehir with 1461 Trabzon. With all the off field problems it was good for the players to get back to playing football. The team lined up : Bayram, Aytac, Emre, Volkan, Umut, Bilal, Kaan, Mert, Sinan, Timur, Hasan.

Abdullah Keseroglu became the latest Ankaragucu player to find a new club as the midfielder agreed to join Bucaspor. The two sides will meet each other this season in the Bank Aysa first division. Keseroglu joined Ankaragucu 3 year ago from Germany but failed to establish himself in the first team.
Last season Keseroglu became more of a regular until injury kept him out of the second half of the season. Due to unpaid wages the player decided to leave the club at the end of the season. Ankaragucu are hoping to lift the transfer bank this week.

Hakan Kutlu today spoke of his wish to one day become chairman of Ankaragucu. Kutlu resigned as manager at the club last week due to tension between himself and Cemal Aydin, unpaid wages and broken promises. Not many players can say they have spent their whole career at the one club, but in the case of Hakan Kutlu he spent his entire playing career at the club before becoming coach and then manager.
Last season will go down as the worst season in the History of Ankargucu, the club lost all their first team players and were forced to play the second half of the season with the youth team. The club were relegated to the first division and it looks like it will be another tough season for the club.
Hakan Kutlu spoke of his disappointment of leaving the club he has supported as a boy, the club his Mother, Father and Brother support to. Asked if his time at the club is over, Kutlu replied, " It can never be over, one day i would like to return to the club as chairman ".
There is no doubting that Ankaragucu fans would love to see Hakan Kutlu return to the club, this is a man they trust, a legend of the club and one who would get rid of all the wrong doing and corruption that surrounds them.

Former Ankargucu duo Tonia Tisdell and Ergin Keles today agreed deals with new clubs. Tonia had been linked with a move to Ankaraspor but due to the clubs uncertain future has today signed with ambitious Sanliurfaspor. The young forward was tipped for big things when he broke into the Ankaragucu first team but has been set back with injury.
Ergin Keles who moved to Karabukspor last season has agreed to a move to Mersin. Ergin was the main striker for Ankaragucu last season until he left due to non payment. We would like to wish both players good luck with their new clubs.

More to follow in the next couple of days !
Ankaragucu today began pre season training in Nevsehir as Hakan Kutlu officially left the club after terminating his contract. Adil Eris, Umit Gecmen and Fuat Aykuz will take the 12 day training camp as the club look for a new coach.
Kutlu won the right to terminate his contract last night and leaves the club that he supported as a kid and played his whole career with. As reported last week the relationship between Kutlu and Cemal Aydin broke down after several failed promises from Aydin.
The young Ankaragucu team were accompanied by tribune group Universiteli Gucluler who took a bus of 20 members to meet the team. Another fantastic show of support from one of the Ankaragucu fan groups.

Ankaragucu will travel without Hakan Kutlu and Hakan Keles as they both resigned from their positions last week. Youngsters Metin Aydin and Kaan Kanak both spoke of the coming season. Kaan said, " we have played together for years and that is an advantage, plus our experience playing in the Super Lig last season will help". Turkish youth international Metin Aydin added, " we are all friends and have played together for a long time "
The Ankaragucu squad who will travel to Nevsehir : Bayram Olgun, Cihan Bal, Gokhan Akkan, Mehmet Cogum, Gurkan Alver, Umut Kurt, Bilal Gulden, Kaan Kanak, Orhan Evci, Serkan Sirin, Mehmet Tasci, Oguzhan Bicer, Gokhan Erdogan, Mert Erdogan, Sinan Kurumus, Enes Kubat, Teoman Safa Erkan, Metin Aydin, Hasan Ayaroglu, Volkan Geyik, Emre Tasdemir, Artun Kutukcu, Ahmet Yilmaz, Umut Nair, Alican Yatarkalkmaz, Timur, Aytac Oden
Former Ankaragucu captain Eris Ceyhun has held talks with Kizilcahamamspor over a move to the Turkish Lig 2 side. Ceyhun was linked with a move back to Ankaragucu but that looks to be dead as the club have yet to remove the transfer ban.
Also linked with a move to Kizilcahamamspor is former Ankaragucu goalkeeper Zafer Ozgultekin. The club from Ankara are showing ambition and are hoping they can win promotion to Bank Aysa Lig 1 next season.
Ankaragucu General Manager Hikmet Hancioglu today spoke of the clubs need to lift the current transfer ban. Speaking at the clubs Bestepe training facility Hancioglu said if the club can lift the transfer ban then they can sign players who are willing to join the club. He went on to thank the fans for their support and encouraged them to get behind the club in this tough time.
Ankaragucu are serving a transfer ban due to their financial problems. The club have sold all their players and now have to start planning for the season ahead. With only the youth team to call on and no manager the club need to overturn the ban or they could face another season of relegation.

Ankaragucu manager Hakan Kutlu has left the club after terminating his contract. Kutlu who played for the club all his career before becoming a coach is unhappy at the many broken promises and unpaid wages. Things took a turn for the worse last week when Kutlu and Cemal Aydin had words, it now leaves the clubs future even more in the balance.
Former player Mustafa Kaplan has been linked with the job but at the moment things are still unclear as to who will replace Kutlu. We at Ankaragucu Iskocya would like to wish Hakan Kutlu all the best in his future!
Saturday, 7 July 2012
As reported earlier Hakan Kutlu is set to step down as manager of Ankaragucu, the club he has spent his whole career with as a player, coach and now manager. Kutlu took over as Ankaragucu boss from Ziya Dogan last season and was faced with the impossible task of keeping Ankaragucu in the Super Lig. He is currently in discussions which would allow him to terminate his contract.
The club were serving a transfer ban due to the financial problems and Kutlu could only watch as all his star players left the club on free transfers due to unpaid wages. Ankaragucu were relegated at the end of the season and lost more players as Cemal Aydin cashed in on the money. Its believed Hakan Kutlu is unhappy at broken promises with the Congress been postponed 4 times and the transfer ban still not lifted.
The average age of the current Ankaragucu squad is 19 and with most of those players never having played for the first team, the club could be set for another tough season if they survive. We at the Ankaragucu Iskocya Blog would like to show our support for Hakan Kutlu and wish him the best in whatever he does.
The former two time Turkish Cup winners are in big trouble of loosing their 103 year history unless someone comes in and saves the club in the next three weeks. Through these difficult times one man has stood shoulder to shoulder with the fans and players, Manager Hakan Kutlu who spent his whole career at the club as a player. This week however it looks like even he has had enough of all the lies and corruption by the management. Tension has grown between him and Cemal Aydin and it looks like he could step down in the next couple of days.
With today's congress been cancelled for the fourth time it now leaves the clubs future in the balance. With the transfer ban still in place and no candidate willing to take on the club, it will take a miracle if the club is to come through this. Ankaragucu now face been kicked into the Turkish third division as the club have failed to pay the licence fee of 7,500 Turkish Lira to play in the Turkish first division.
Ankaraspor now look set to play in the Bank Aysa first division, and one thing that cant be ruled out is the two clubs merging. Questions have to be asked where all the businessmen of Ankara are, where are the rich fans of Ankaragucu in the clubs hour of need ? As Darius Vassell said, Ankaragucu are a club that gives so much, but never gets anything back.
Friday, 6 July 2012
Concerns over the future of Ankaragucu grew today as the clubs Presidential elections were postponed for the fouth time. A new date has been set for the 28th July. Earlier this week club directors sold more players in an effort to pay off the transfer ban. Only Mehmet Ural was thought to be a candidate.
It gives Ankaragucu more time to find a better candidate but time is running out for the club from the capital. In other news Ankaraspor have announced they will play in Bank Aysa next season. This means there is one team more than expected. Could Ankaraspor take the place of Ankaragucu ? Or could the clubs even merge ?

Ankaragucu will not play in this seasons TYSD Ankara cup. The pre season tournament held at the 19 Mayis Stadium will still go on but the teams who will take part are Genclerbirligi, Sivasspor, Eskisehirspor and newly promoted Elazigspor.

Cemal Aydin today announced he will not be running for the upcoming presidential elections. The former president said he has spent 15 years of his life at the club and over 20 years in sport, but for the time being will not be returning to the club.
Many Ankaragucu fans believe Aydin will still be running things in the back round while one of his men become the next president. Saturday 7th July is the date for the next elections.
Tuesday, 3 July 2012
As reported yesterday the Ankaragucu directors have been busy selling players in order to pay off debts to lift the transfer embargo. If successful it looks like the first two players to return to the club will be former captain Eris Ceyhun and Ibrahim Ege.
Ceyhun left the club over 2 years ago after a fall out with management and Darius Vassell. It was a move that disappointed fans as the playmaker had been on fine form and was even called up to the Turkish national team. The player trained with the club last season and stated he would like to return to the club once the ban is lifted. He is currently out of contract after leaving Denizlispor.
Ibrahim Ege is also out of contract having left Mersin. The former Ankaragucu defensive midfielder played 32 times for the club between 2007-09. Both players will have to wait on the outcome of the upcoming Congress on Saturday 7th July.

Fenerbahce President Aziz Yildirim has been handed a 6 year prison sentence and 1.3 Million Euro fine after been found guilty of match fixing. Turkish Football was in turmoil last season after half the teams in the league and over 100 people were investigated for match fixing.
Fenerbahce were withdrawn from last seasons champions league and replaced with Trabzonspor by the Turkish FA. The rules in Turkey and any other league state any President involved in match fixing will be see their club relegated and individuals will be banned from football.
Incredibly the Turkish FA cleared Aziz Yildirim and all other clubs of match fixing to the anger of the Turkish nation. Turkish football is dominated by the Istanbul clubs the same way as Rangers (footballs most successful domestic team) and Celtic are from Scotland. The Turkish FA have bent over backwards to help save Fenerbahce while the Scottish FA kicked Rangers when they were down and stuck the knife through the heart of the club.
No club should go unpunished for match fixing, and individuals should serve heavy punishment, but the way it is handled by footballing bodies worldwide is something UEFA need to tackle. However with an organisation obsessed with money this will be another of a long line of issues brushed under the carpet.
18 others were sentenced to jail including Tayfur Havutcu (Besiktas Manager), Umut Karan (Eskisehirspor), Ibrahim Akin (Istanbul BBS), Mehmet Yildiz (Karabukspor) and Gokcek Wederson (Bursaspor) .
Cemal Aydin today confirmed along with Mehmet Ural that the club have yet to speak to new players as they have been busy selling the current squad. Aydin said the clubs Directors have been cashing the cheques in order to pay off the debt for the transfer ban. The club will then look to bring in new players.
The Bank Aysa league has lifted the rule on signing only three foreign players over the age of 23. Augustine Ahinful last month confirmed he will send young players from Ghana to help the club for free. As reported earlier it looks like Gokhan Erdogan will be the next player to leave the club with Kayserispor favourites for his signature.
Thanks to John Angliss for reporting the news.
The Ankaragucu exodus could continue as Kayserispor have made an offer for young Ankaragucu midfielder Mert Erdogan. The youngster broke into the first team last season and even captained the side towards the end of the season following some impressive performances.
Aydin Toscali, Ishak Dogan and Veli Torun have all left in the last week and Ankaragucu will be hoping the youngster will stay. A move back to the Turkish Super Lig may prove to much for Erdogan to turn down. The club are hoping he will wait and see the outcome of Saturdays congress.

Former Ankaragucu President Melih Gokcek today claimed that Ankaragucu are dead but he has cherished the name of the club. Currently in the process of building a new team at Ankaraspor, Gokcek has angered Ankaragucu fans with his outburst. " Ankaragucu are finished, they are dead , but i have cherished the name of the club ". Gokcek will look to change the name of Ankaraspor to Ankaragucu A.S and hope that some of the Ankaragucu fans will follow him.
Along with Cemal Aydin and his son Ahmet Gokcek, these three men are responsible for the financial mess at Ankaragucu. None of them have shown any remorse for the club of 103 years and Melih continues to disrespect the club with these attention seeking outbursts.
From the Ankaragucu Iskocya Blog, please stay away from our club Melih Gokcek !!
Ankaragucu captain Aydin Toscali has agreed a 1 year deal with Mersin along with former Trabzonspor forward Ibrahim Yattara. Aydin vowed to stay with Ankaragucu until after the congress but it was cancelled twice leaving the defender without any wages.
When all the Ankaragucu players left last season due to unpaid wages, Aydin stayed on along with Mehmet Cogum to captain the young side for the remainder of the season. Signed from Kayserispor three years ago we at the Ankaragucu Iskocya Blog would like to thank him and wish him all the best with his new club.
