Former Ankaragucu players to return ?

As reported yesterday the Ankaragucu directors have been busy selling players in order to pay off debts to lift the transfer embargo. If successful it looks like the first two players to return to the club will be former captain Eris Ceyhun and Ibrahim Ege.

Ceyhun left the club over 2 years ago after a fall out with management and Darius Vassell. It was a move that disappointed fans as the playmaker had been on fine form and was even called up to the Turkish national team. The player trained with the club last season and stated he would like to return to the club once the ban is lifted. He is currently out of contract after leaving Denizlispor.

Ibrahim Ege is also out of contract having left Mersin. The former Ankaragucu defensive midfielder played 32 times for the club between 2007-09. Both players will have to wait on the outcome of the upcoming Congress on Saturday 7th July.

  1. Ibrahim Ege isn't a defender. He is playing at defensive midfielder side.

  3. Ceyhun has served many clubs well over the years, including his short stay with Ankaragucu, but ..... c'mon .... he is well past his 'sell by date'. He is now in the era of 'coach' or 'advisor'. However, if he joins the Club then it can only benefit the young players coming through.

  5. I think Ceyhun would still do a job in Bank Aysa Jim, Better than what we have at the moment.

I would rather have younger better players but with the financial mess we are in it looks like we dont have much of a choice.
