Mehmet Cogum and Muhammet Turkmen return to Ankaragucu !

Some long awaited good news for Ankaragucu as Mehmet Cogum and Muhammet Turkmen agreed to stay on at the club until May 2013. Both players were out of contract and free to talk to other clubs. The Turkish Transfer deadline is now past and both players have extended their contracts.

This will be a boost to the young Ankaragucu side as both players have experience and will help the club in its battle to stay in the league. Cogum signed for the club from Karabukspor nearly two years ago but has struggled with injury. Turkmen joined from Kartalspor at the same time and was a regular in the side last season. He became a favourite with the fans and even wrote a song about the club.

Both players will be available for the match at Karsiyaka next week a long with Timur Ozgoz who will return from suspension.

  1. A small crumb of comfort for us long suffering fans !!

Karsiyaka is another of our 'brother' Clubs and there will no doubt be a large Ankaragucu contingent at this match.

Wish I could be there - beautiful city and it would have been a great excursion for the kankas, but the timing is wrong.
